We had a great time at Winter camp and everyone had fun in the snow. Camp Pendalouan staff made us feel right at home!

Please join us at our upcoming comedy fundraiser benefiting Special Days camps on Thursday, March 18th at 8pm (Note: NEW DATE) at The Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase! This benefit will be headlined by Lynne Koplitz.  Lynne has performed at HBO's Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival twice.  She is also currently in rotation on comedy Central, Lynne has appeared as a guest-host on "Later" and "Extra" at NBC where she is the first comedienne since Roseanne and Brett Butler to have a development deal for her own sitcom with the Carsey/Werner production team.

This night of non-stop charity laughter is limited to adults of 18 years old or older. Tickets are limited and are priced at only $10 each! We are very excited to announce that YMCA Camp Pendalouan located outside of Muskegon will be the new home of Special Days beginning Winter Camp in 2010!

Our partnership with Camp Pendalouan will allow us grow our program and explore new opportunities that fulfill our mission while continuing the traditions that have made us a leader in helping families fight the impact of childhood cancer. 

Some of our expanded programs for winter camp will include:

·        Expanded busing options to and from camp from a variety of cities throughout Michigan. 

·        Offering group rates at a local hotel for parents that will allow for time to network with other parents and spend a relaxing weekend.

Over the years families have consistently shared that camp is about the people who attend and the rich programming we provide.  We have every confidence this will continue to be the case as we prepare for an action packed Winter Camp the weekend of January 29 – 31, 2010 with activities such as our dance, an all camp dutch auction, arts and crafts, tobogganing, broomball and much more.  Of course we’ll also be bringing along our friend the moose, the I’m third sign and all of our transitional camp songs.

We take the trust parents place in us to serve their families as a seriously responsibility and appreciate your support throughout this transition.
