Special Days Privacy Policy
To make a donation, we ask that you create a Special Days Store account. Your account is protected by a password that you choose. We will ask for your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, and telephone number.
This account information is kept along with your order history. You can view your account information and the status of your orders by clicking on the 'My Account' page at any time.
This information is used to help prevent fraud. Sadly, many identity thieves use online donations to nonprofits such as ours to test whether a credit card number is valid. By providing us with more information to check against, we can help to reduce fraudulent transactions.
Even if you are making an online donation, your 'shipping address' is collected so that we may send you a letter for your records, thanking you for your donation.
We will also ask for your credit card information, but will not store it. Your credit card information is only held while you are placing your order; it is used to process your donation, then erased for your protection.
How do we keep your information secure?
We do NOT store your credit card information; it is only used when processing your donation. The personal information that you provide to Special Days Online Store is protected by industry-standard Secure Socket Layer encryption. Your personal information is maintained on secure servers.
When entering personal information, look for an icon at the top or bottom of your browser window that indicates you are on a secure page. This may look like a padlock or a golden key, for example. The URL for your page should begin with 'https://' instead of 'http://'.
